Library

We are open! Based on the continued pandemic we are quietly and slowly adding programs based on the safety requirements suggested by the CDC and the California State Library. Please return books to the book drop located on the northeast corner of our library. All fines for books returned during the pandemic will be forgiven. As always, you can reserve books or DVDs by logging into your account and then emailing library@san-juan-bautista.ca.us to schedule a time to pick them up.

Thank you for your understanding. Please stay healthy!

Upcoming Events:

Children's Halloween Celebration
As we continue to navigate our way out of the Covid-19 pandemic we have decided to once again host a scaled back event at the Library. We expect to be back fully in 2023. Likely future Halloween celebrations will be held on the Saturday prior to October 31 with treats available on October 31 between 4 pm and 6 pm. This will allow us to host a more well rounded event. Stay tuned for details. (And please let us know your ideas! We are always open to trying something new!)

This year you can expect a bag of treats (or tricks!) to be handed out by the Library Auxiliary and volunteers on Monday October 31, 2022 between 4 pm and 6 pm.

Utility Assistance is still available by calling the San Benito County Community Services & Workforce Development at 831-637-9293 or 831-630-5191. We can assist you by faxing or emailing the required documents to them if necessary.

Books and DVDs can be returned to our book drop located on the north-east corner of the building. All late fees will be waived during this time. If you would like "curbside" service you can login to your account to place a hold on books or DVDs and then email the Library  to schedule a time to pick them up.

Story Time:
There are no in person storytimes scheduled at this time.

Elementary Reading Group:
Please let us know if you are interested in us continuing with this program.

Drop-in Tech Support:
Email the Library for details and to schedule an in person or virtual meetup. In person tech support is available Monday and Friday.

Contact us for an upcoming session on Tips and Tricks for Zoom meetings. Our first gathering will cover the basics for beginners and will expand from there.

Knitting/Crochet Group:
Let us know what day works for you! We used to meet on Saturday mornings however family situations have changed over this past year and Saturdays aren't working for a few of our regulars. We're thinking Wednesday mornings might work better. Please let us know if that will work for you.

San Juan Bautista Library Auxiliary:
The Auxiliary  helps to support the children's programs at the Library. They provide funding for the Storytime group and yearly Halloween Party. You are welcome to attend their in person meetings at 11 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. It is preferred that if you do attend in person that you be fully vaccinated as all of their members are already.
Next Meeting:
Wednesday October 19, 2022 11 a.m.

Free Internet Use:
