San Juan Bautista Historical Society
The San Juan Bautista Historical Society was established in 1965 and is located at the Luck Museum, Third & Monterey streets in San Juan Bautista. Built in 1919 by Carl Martin Luck as a Standard Gas Station, it served travelers on the old Highway 101, which came over the Salinas Grade down The Alameda and onto Third Street, continuing onto Monterey Street, and then up San Juan Highway out of town. The museum is open for research by appointment.
