City Manager's Recommended Budget Released

At its next meeting on Tuesday, May 21, the City Council will hear a presentation on the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019. It is anticipated that the Council will establish a schedule for a series of budget workshops, and then a public hearing on June 18. The City's financial picture is stable and improving slightly, although there is a significant backlog of important capital improvement projects. The budget proposes both a Water and Wastewater Master Plan to guide future investments to ensure efficiency and reliability. Other planning studies are proposed to meet State requirements for ensuring that the City is providing opportunities for the development of affordable housing.
